The Helix Booster Club will award scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors from Griswold High School annually. These scholarships may be used at the university, college, or vocational school of the student's choice.
The scholarship will be paid to the recipient of the scholarship upon proof of payment to the school of choice. Contact can be made through Cindy Wood, Helix School District Administrative Assistant.
Selection Criteria: The Booster Club will select the scholarship recipients and one alternate based on the following criteria:
The final selection of the scholarship recipients and alternate will be made by the Scholarship Screening Committee of the Booster Club.
Application Process: A scholarship packet must be submitted to Cindy Wood, Helix School District Administrative Assistant, by noon on the last Friday in April. It will include the following information from their high school career in a resume format:
1. Name, address, date
2. A one page essay describing your personal goals and how you plan to obtain those goals including the school you plan on attending.
3. Copy of the 7th semester transcript
4. Two letters of recommendation
An interview will be given only in case of a tie. Students will be notified within two weeks after the application is due if an interview is necessary. The scholarship recipients will be announced at graduation ceremonies.

- Citizenship
- Community Activities

- School Activities and Leadership
- Accountability and Attendance
- GPA, SAT, or ACT Scores
- Employment
The final selection of the scholarship recipients and alternate will be made by the Scholarship Screening Committee of the Booster Club.

1. Name, address, date
- Scholarship-cumulative G.P.A. and best composite ACT score or best combined SAT scores if available
- School activities and positions of leadership held; Examples: FBLA member 9, 10, 11, 12; secretary 12
- Awards and Honors received
- Community service activities; Examples: October 2004 raked leaves for Helix citizen
- Employment including dates and hours worked; Example: July 2004 drove wheat truck - 100 hours
